I will be at InConJunction 2013!

InConJunctionEvery year, there is a small but fierce science fiction and fantasy convention in Indianapolis on 4th of July weekend.  And when I say “every year,” I mean that this year marks 33 years of glorious, unfettered nerdiness. It’s a place for people like us to be ourselves and fly the freak flags of our favorite fandoms.

I’ll be there as a fan, stalking the Star Trek band Five Year Mission and fabulous Toastmaster Moxie Magnus. As an author, I’m going to be on many panels and will be part of the Seventh Star Press table with RJ Sullivan and John F. Allen in the creator alley in the dealer room. I will certainly have my science fiction novel Reality Check on hand, and if I’m very lucky, my supernatural fantasy novel Four ’til Late just might be in print by then.

Schedule:

Friday
4pm   Where in the World ISN’T Steampunk (Main Programming)
5pm   Mentorship in Writing (Ballroom C)
10pm Debunking Ghost Photography (Ballroom B)

Saturday
11am So You Want to be a Writer? (Ballroom C)
10pm Candlelight Horror (Grand Ballroom 7-8)

Sunday
12pm Making Simple Fermented Beverages (Veterans Hall 1)

I hope to see you there!

    Hi Eric,
Wow! I had no idea such a thing existed! I may have to stop in for a bit Saturday afternoon to check things out if the cost isn’t prohibitive. & A Star Trek band whose mission is to write and record a song for every episode!? That’s nerd-vana! 🙂

      Hi Jay!

Yeah, InConJunction is a blast. I don’t know what a 1 day pass costs, but if you just want to see Five Year Mission, I gather their show on Friday from 8-10pm is open to the public with just $5 cover if you don’t have a badge.

You can check out most of Five Year Mission’s songs on YouTube:

I am a super fan of theirs.

Thanks for additional info & link. I’ll look at the event site in more detail after work too.
